A Personal Message from Sundeep Harper.

My journey in the legal field began at the age of 19 when I started working as a legal assistant. After a decade in this role, I pursued my dream of becoming an attorney and attended law school at 29.

Following law school, I returned to Stamford, Connecticut, to work with the attorney who mentored me during my paralegal days, this time as a real estate attorney. After six years, I joined a law firm in Old Saybrook, CT, where I spent 4.5 years expanding my expertise in estate planning, probate law, and business law, all while continuing to grow my real estate practice.

My time in Old Saybrook was marked by personal challenges, including life-threatening medical issues that left me unable to make decisions for myself. Fortunately, I had the necessary legal documents in place, allowing my husband to act on my behalf. These experiences have deeply influenced my practice, fostering a profound sense of relatability and empathy.

I understand firsthand the complexities of the probate process, the emotional journey of homebuying, and the intricacies of business formation. These personal insights drive my passion for representing first-time homebuyers, guiding them through one of life's most significant purchases. Additionally, helping set up my husband's business and forming my own has equipped me with valuable knowledge to assist entrepreneurs in establishing their ventures. My medical struggles have underscored the importance of planning for the future and ensuring that one's family is protected in times of uncertainty.

With nearly a decade of experience as a legal staff member and over a decade as an attorney, I have developed a comprehensive understanding of both the daily operations and the substantive practice of law. These experiences have shaped a practice built on empathy, integrity, and respect.

In January 2024, after moving to Milford with my husband, young daughter, and two dogs, I founded Harper Law. Our office on Cherry Street has been embraced by the Milford community, and we are thrilled to offer our legal services to its residents while continuing to serve clients in Fairfield County and along the Connecticut shoreline.

Beyond my legal practice, I am deeply involved in my community. I proudly serve on the board of directors of Milestones Behavioral Services, a private school dedicated to supporting children with autism. I am also an active member of the Milford Bar Association, Fairfield County Bar Association, Connecticut Bar Association, the Milford Regional Chamber of Commerce, and the Network of Executive Women, where I engage with other professionals committed to leadership and advocacy.
